Instructions for activating the 2-Factor Authentication feature on VinaHost account

For additional security for customers using services at VinaHost. VinaHost has added the Two-Factor Authentication feature (English: 2-factor authentication, abbreviated 2FA) which requires two authentication factors that depend on each other to prove your identity is correct.
Each authentication requires two factors at the same time: self-set user information (PIN, password) and user information received from the service provider (OTP, USB, Token, Grid Card…). With the two factors combined, hackers will not be able to steal all the information necessary to penetrate the account, greatly increasing account security.
Step 1: First access your VinaHost account > Select Security Settings
Step 2: Seeing that the current status is Disable, Click the Disable button to turn this feature on
Step 3: Select Start
Step 4: Access the Google Authenticator, Authory or Duo application to scan the QR code
Download the Google Authenticator application
On iOS:
After Scan successfully. The application will add a Profile named secure.vinahost.vn
Accessing the Google Authenticator application will have a 6-digit code that changes continuously after 30 seconds > Enter the code after you log in.
After turning on the 2-factor authentication feature, you’re done. The system displays the backup code that you save in case you lose your authentication device.
Wishing you successful configuration!!
